Canada West Festival

Performing Arts BC, the Alberta Music Festival Association and the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association are pleased to announce a Tri-Province Festival for Music and Speech Arts, which serves as a 'next step' for provincial competitors. The Third Annual Festival took place July 25 - 27, 2024 in Victoria, BC.  The festival has 3 levels of competition: 13 & under, 17 & under and 22 & under and in most classes provinces are able to send 2 or 3 competitors for piano, classical voice, musical theatre, strings, guitar, woodwinds, brass, chamber music and speech arts. A recorded Choral competition is also included. Competitors to this festival will be recommended from the BC Provincial Festival. 

Please find a copy of the 2024 Syllabus here. Please note that 2024 will see the introduction of a 13 years and under guitar class and a realignment of the Choral classes. If you would like to be considered for the 2024 CWPAF, please indicate this on your BC Provincial Festival Registration Form.
